Hamas conditions for ceasefire completely reasonable

Ayatollah Khatami made the remarks while speaking at the sermons of Friday prayers in the Iranian capital.

It was reported that Qatar has announced serious progress in the Gaza ceasefire talks, Khatami said, stressing that the two conditions that Hamas has set in this regard are completely reasonable.

"The first condition is a complete cessation of attacks, and the second is the release of all Palestinian prisoners," he underlined.

Pointing out to the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory, Khatami called for gloriously holding the 22 Bahman rallies which are scheduled to be held across Iran.

He stressed that now after 45 years, it is obvious for everyone that the Pahlavi dynasty came to power in order to de-Islamization of Iran.

"We are proud that today the most independent country in the world is the Islamic Republic of Iran," Khatami emphasized.
